British Columbia's largest rehabilitation centre has two exciting career opportunities:
- Patient Care Coordinator (RN) Acquired Brain Injury and Adolescent & Young Adult Programs
- Patient Service Manager (RN) Spinal Cord Program
G.F. Strong Rehabilitation Centre (GF Strong) is a tertiary rehabilitation facility servicing all of British Columbia. As a freestanding facility, GF Strong provides inpatient, outpatient, outreach and clinical support services to clients/patients in 5 unique programs: Acquired Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, Arthritis, Neuromusculoskeletal, and Adolescent and Young Adult Program (12-18 years of age). Since 1949, GF Strong has worked closely with community partners to address the needs of people with disabilities throughout British Columbia and Yukon.
GF Strong provides a broad range of clinical services, including specialized care at Mary Pack Arthritis Centre. Through its affiliation with the University of British Columbia and other academic organizations, GF Strong leads in rehabilitation teaching and research for a better tomorrow.
The Adolescent & Young Adult Program has 5 inpatient acute rehabilitation beds. Clients on this program range in age from 12-18 years. The Acquired Brain Injury Program has 25 inpatient acute rehabilitation beds serving clients aged 19-65 years. The Spinal Cord Program has 29 acute beds with clients ranging in age from 19-65 years. Each team consist of physiatrists (rehab specialty physicians), nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, speech language pathologists, dietitians, orthotists, assistive technologists, psychologists, psychiatrists, vocational counsellors, recreation therapists and other specialists.
