NEW: Caregiver Resource Development Grant

​ The Association of Rehabilitation Nurses (ARN) is proud to announce a new initiative aimed at supporting family caregivers through education. The ARN Advancing Science and Practice Subcommittee invites proposals for grant support to contribute to the development of the ARN Family Caregiver Resource Center.

The seeks to create essential educational resources for family caregivers, ensuring they receive the most current and effective support from rehabilitation nurses.

Purpose of the Grant 

Formerly known as The Barbara Lutz Stroke Rehabilitation Grant, which was developed to honor the 2019-2020 ARN President, Barbara J. Lutz, PhD RN CRRN PHNA-BC FAHA FAAN, and provided funding to pursue stroke research, this ARN Caregiver Resource Development Grant seeks to create essential educational resources for family caregivers, ensuring they receive the most current and effective support from rehabilitation nurses.

The primary goal of this grant is to identify and address the educational needs of family caregivers during inpatient rehabilitation or skilled nursing care. Proposals should be grounded in the latest evidence-based practices and should aim to create impactful, accessible educational modules.

These resources will form the foundation of the new ARN Family Caregiver Resource Center, hosted on the ARN website, providing invaluable support to caregivers navigating the challenges of caring for loved ones with disabling conditions.
